Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Research Articles

This section welcomes original research articles presenting a clearly defined research question, a rigorous methodology, substantial analysis, and scientifically supported conclusions. Manuscripts must constitute an original contribution to knowledge, respect the principles of academic integrity, and comply with the editorial standards of SCIENTIA UNIVERSALIS. Every submission undergoes scientific peer review before any publication decision.

Research Notes

This section welcomes short scientific contributions presenting preliminary results, an original hypothesis, a methodological innovation, a novel source, or a reflection likely to open new research perspectives. Texts must be rigorous, clearly structured, and supported by relevant scientific references. They are subject to peer review.

Review Articles

This section publishes critical, structured analyses of the scientific literature devoted to a given question. Contributions must present the state of knowledge, compare the main theoretical or methodological approaches, identify controversies and gaps in research, and ultimately propose new perspectives. Manuscripts are subject to peer review.

Copyright Notice

By submitting a manuscript to SCIENTIA UNIVERSALIS, the authors declare that they are its rightful owners, guarantee its original character, and declare that they hold all the rights and authorizations necessary for its reproduction, publication, and dissemination. They certify that the manuscript does not infringe any intellectual property right, right to one's image, right to privacy, or any other right belonging to a third party.

The authors retain their copyright and grant SCIENTIA UNIVERSALIS, upon acceptance, the right of first publication as well as the non-exclusive authorization to reproduce, publish, disseminate, archive, index, and make their contribution available to the public, in any form and on any medium necessary for its scientific enhancement and lasting preservation.

Articles are intended to be published in open access under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which authorizes the sharing and adaptation of the work, including for commercial purposes, provided that the authors, the article title, SCIENTIA UNIVERSALIS, and the publication source are properly credited, a link to the license is provided, and any changes made are indicated.

The authors remain responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and lawfulness of the published content. They authorize the preservation of the official version of their article in the journal's archives and may separately enter into other non-exclusive dissemination agreements, provided that they clearly mention its initial publication in SCIENTIA UNIVERSALIS.

By checking the corresponding box, the author responsible for the submission declares having read and accepted this notice and guarantees that they are acting with the agreement of all co-authors.

Privacy Statement

Personal information, including names, affiliations, email addresses, digital identifiers and other information provided during registration, submission, review or publication, is collected and processed by SCIENTIA UNIVERSALIS solely for the purposes of managing the editorial process, communicating with relevant individuals, scientific production and dissemination, archival preservation, and institutional statistics. Access is limited to duly authorized individuals involved in the journal's operations and, where necessary, to technical service providers bound by security and confidentiality obligations; this data is neither sold nor used for commercial purposes unrelated to the journal's mission. It is retained for as long as necessary to fulfill these purposes, comply with legal obligations, and preserve the integrity of the scientific and editorial record. Any individual concerned may request access to, correction of, or, where legal, scientific and archival requirements permit, deletion of their data by contacting the journal's management through the contact details published on the site.
